CHAPTER 10

Herb and Summer were quiet as Herb pulled into their subdivision. They had formed a truce both were relaxed after a much needed screaming, grunting, moaning, back scratching lovemaking session. And Summer had decided for the time being to put the baby discussion on hold.

They grinned at each other, both were glowing with excitement. Today was the day that Lee was going to clear them to return to their home. Neither wanted to admit to each other the true reason for their euphoria: They’ll be getting their personal spaces back.

Two weeks ago, they had stopped by the house to pick up clothes, the temperature was dropping and they needed warmer clothes to accommodate the cooler weather. Leo and his team were working so Summer and Herb had taken a peek at the progress. Lee had reassured them that everything was on schedule and going smoothly, they were happy in knowing that they’d be in their own beds soon and that optimism kept them from killing each other.

Herb pulled into their driveway then wiggled his eyebrows at her. “Ready for some good news?”

“Yep.” Summer leaned over and kissed her husband. “I am so ready to get back in my house.”

“Me too babe…me too. Let’s go.”
